We Will Rock You
From Cowboy Bebop: Space Cowboy
In We Will Rock You, the Bebop crew is trying to catch the elusive Cidney, a bounty-head worth 30 million wulongs. He has had multiple cosmetic surgeries and false identities. The bebop doesn't know what he looks like, but they know where he is and decide to send Spike to capture him. Of course, what Jet mentions off hand is that Cidney is already in prison. Spike's first order of business is to get sent to jail.
Off in a restaurant somewhere, Spike begins to get drunk and eventually wrecks the place. Ed hacks the computers to get him sent to the same prison as Cidney, and the hunt is on.
Shortly after his arrival in Long Long, Maritime Prison, Spike is strip searched and cavity searched, which does not make him very happy at all. He quickly regrets his choice but meets up with Todd the fixer, who can pretty much get anything a man in prison wants. Spike assumes the name of Lee and asks about Cidney, who is under the identity Julio. Todd snickers and sets up Spike with Julio for later in the night.
When Spike is introduced to Julio, he bears the name Marilyn and is a transvestite hooker-prisoner within the jail. Spike is surprised to say the least and figures next time Jet can go to prison in his place. Meanwhile, Jet is worried about Spike and Faye decides to go check up on him while Jet tries to pin down the reason for the high bounty.
On the next day, Spike is confronted by Samson, an ogre with his sights set on Marilyn. He lays out Spike and leaves. Later, Faye visits Spike as his "love" and discreetly hands him a computer chip to help make the escape with Cidne that night. Spike and Cidne begin to make their escape, but the chip only gets them so far. Cidney does the rest by enticing a guard and breaking a few computers. This of course sets off the prison alarm and mayhem ensues.
As Spike and Cidney wait for Jet to show up in the Hammerhead, Samson makes another appearance and is hell-bent on keeping Marilyn by his side, willing or not. Spike trounces him easily and the guards show up for round two. Jet arrives and Cidne and Spike make their way off, but Cidney is shot. He gets dolled up to be turned in to Tony the next day, the originator of the bounty, and Marilyn's last main squeeze.
The crew of the Bebop realizes that Tony is after a chip he left in Marilyn's suitcase and that Cidney will be killed if turned in. Spike is undaunted, and prepares to make the switch-off. Cidney convinces him to stop in a small fashion store though, and is soon arrested for shoplifting. Back in jail, Marilyn is right at home, and the Bebop's crew is broke as always.
