Interplanetary Travel

Space, the final frontier? Maybe not the final one, but much of it has proven in the Cowboy Bebop universe to be a frontier of some kind. In CB:SC, much Sol solar system has been colonized and teraformed for human use. These different colonized are traveled between through the system of hyperspace gates, a system of hyperspace passages that can be open and close to speed travel between distant places.

In order to travel through these hyperspace gates, one must approach the gate, through the use of the "course" and "speed" commands, and then calculate target coordinates. With these coordinates calculated they then must speed up to a speed close to their maximum and use the "hyperspace" command.

Space Combat

Occasionally, in space, conflict emerges, leading to fights. When this happens, ships fire each other, often while still moving through space. To target another ship in order to fire them type "target (ship name)", and to fire at them type "first" "second" or "third" for one of the weapons your ship possesses, you can see a list of which weapon is which through the "info" command.

Common practices in space combat are boarding, through hacking open the bay of a ship possessing one, and landing in it, as well as re-launching, to replenish ammunition. Currently, the only way of replenishing ship hull is through the ship maintenance skill and the "repairship" command.

SPACE SHIP SHIPS PILOTING FLIGHT SPACECRAFT
SHIPS

Shows the ships that you own as well as the ones docked at a port, if you're in one.
ADDPILOT
Allows a character to pilot your ship.
REMPILOT
Removes a character from your ships pilot list.
OPEN
Opens ships hatch.
CLOSE
Closes ships hatch.
BOARD/ENTER
Enters a ship.
LEAVESHIP
Leaves a ship.
INFO <ship>
Gives info on a ship.
STATUS
Shows the ship's status.
LAUNCH
Launches a ship.
LAND <dock>
Lands at the dock specified.
SPEED <amount>
Accelerates/Decelerates to the new speed.
RADAR
Scans the current system for ships, planets, etc.
COURSE <X/Y/Z>
Turns on the course vectors you input.
CALCULATE
Calculates hyperspace jumps.
HYPERSPACE
After calculating your jump, use this command to actually make the jump.
TARGET
Aims weapons or turret at the specified target.
AUTOTRACK
Automaticly adjusts course to track target.
FIRE <First|Second|Third>
Fires your 1st/2nd/3rd weapon.
REPAIRSHIP <shipsystem>
Performs repairs to ship's hull or specified system.
PAINT <ship name> <color> <desc>
Changes the color and description of a ship.
