Using a pistol is a reasonably basic skill, you point, and you shoot... Despite this, when you first start using them, recoil and aim take some getting used to, a matter taken care of by skill in pistols. While a pistol isn't quite as powerful as some other weapons, it packs a punch all the same, especially when dual wielded. When holding only one pistol, the user has the added advantage of being able to reload without pausing, enabling them to fire more shots off at once.
