Krystalia Amat Richards
Krystalia was the normal girl from the normal family. Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister. She was born on Venus and lived there until the untimely death of her father. At the age of 10 Krystalia was forced to act like an adult. Her childhood was exchanged for a life that included her mother moving them abruptly to Mars. Her mom had found a new man less than 3 months after her father's death. Krystalia had no respect for this new man in her mother's life. He was the worst kind of man. Two-faced and leeching. A rage built up inside of Krystalia that she had never known. She left home at 18 and decided to try her luck out in the universe.
Originally Krystalia found guidance from Taille. An experienced and wise member of the Galactic League of Merchants GLM. Taille impressed Krystalia so much. She had her own ship, her own money, and her own power. Krystalia modeled herself after Taille and joined GLM. She worked hard and mastered all her engineering skills. It was then that Taille began to teach her how to make drugs. Krystalia knew that this was illegal but was naive to the dangers.
She was approached by the leader of the White Tiger Syndicate WTS. Sayaka liked Krystalia's spark and feisty attitude. Krystalia was likewise impressed by Sayaka's dedication and presence. They made a deal. Krystalia would be accepted into WTS after she completed a mission. This mission involved gathering information from the ISSP. It seemed easy enough and soon Krystalia made friends with Giraldus, the leader of ISSP at the time. Their friendship blossomed but Krystalia never forgot her true purpose for joining ISSP until Sayaka mysteriously disappeared. Krystalia figured she was already part of an organization and since she was treated well she would stay put until Sayaka returned.
During this time Krystalia made friends with a man named Sanchez. He was captivating and displayed a bad boy image. Krystalia was immediately drawn to him, but she soon learned she would have to seek his friendship privately. Sanchez was a member of RDS and Giraldus forbid her to make friends with any member of a crime syndicate. Krystalia kept her mouth shut about her new friendship and she even met another friend in RDS, Andrei.
Soon Giraldus turned his affections towards Krystalia. She was confused because he always seemed so distant and she was nothing but outgoing and outspoken. He had even scolded her several times for getting into taunt wars with syndicate members. She took his affections in stride and allowed herself to like him in return. She forgot all about her mission for WTS until the fateful day that Giraldus asked her to marry him. She became scared and thought now was the time to tell the truth. She let him know her true purpose for being in ISSP and she chose to resign. Giraldus was clearly hurt and Krystalia was scared herself. In time wounds healed and she returned to ISSP and to Giraldus.
After a rather scandalous wedding and an ensuing war Krystalia thought her life with Giraldus would be calm. She was wrong. Giraldus suddenly abandoned her and ISSP. He just disappeared. He left no note, no traces, he was gone. Krystalia was crushed and ISSP was falling apart. She looked around at the chaos she was living in and decided she would pull herself and ISSP back from the depths of chaos. She assumed the leadership and with it the diplomatic duties.
Enter Simon Richards, leader of the Red Dragon Syndicate RDS.
She had met him before. He kidnapped her on her own ship and tried to extort money and jewelry from her. It had not worked. She even managed to steal her wedding ring back from him. Yet their second meeting was different. Simon was cool, suave, British, and oh so deliciously bad. She had been attracted to the bad boy image before but this was more than just lust. He had power and he was feared or respected by everyone. She could hardly contain her usual bubbly personality. She, the leader of ISSP, he the King Dragon of RDS.
It began with a game. A game of deadly weapons tag. Amazingly enough Krystalia won and she could tell Simon was impressed by the fact that she was not scared to compete with him. Her desire for him only grew stronger after he began to respect her. She was caught between heaven and hell. The calm and proper exterior of an officer and the fiery personality of a dragon. Simon was everything Krystalia ever wanted and embodied everything she ever wanted to become. She wanted the power, the confidence, and the fear he carried. Her mind began to spin with fantasies of becoming a dragon. One day the organizations came close to war. ISSP was trying to enforce the law in the solar system and RDS was doing as they pleased. Krystalia and Simon were caught in a situation that was very difficult for both of them. Then Simon did the unthinkable, he asked Krystalia how she felt about leaving ISSP for RDS. It was the question she had entertained herself so many times before. The chance was now before her and she was poised to take it.
Her heart tore in half the day she left ISSP for RDS. She was leaving one love for another. Her move avoided the war, but once again threw ISSP into chaos. Simon comforted her as best he could but inside she remained inconsolable. To this day Krystalia masks her pain with hate. A fiercely loyal red dragon she encounters officers on a daily basis. She uses tactics of hate to cloud the issue and no one has been the wiser.
Krystalia and Simon were married in a ceremony that was blissfully uneventful. She is happy and still quite outspoken. The years have brought her the wonderful gift of a child, Damien, and even the confidence and respect she longed for from the beginning.
Despite her best efforts her marriage fell apart. She takes the blame for it because it seems less complicated and less vindictive that way. Simon continues to be the puppeteer of RDS, but Krystalia was tired of that lifestyle and tired of never being quite sure about anything. Now a legendary former member of RDS and a current member of the Galactic League of Merchants GLM she rarely shows herself except when she comes to Mars to visit Damien.
