Ship System - Phase 1 --Shaikoten 09:55, 22 May 2006 (CDT)
Funf is in the process of putting the finishing touches on phase 1 of the new ship system, and we can expect this to be in shortly (Shortly is not a year). Now that we have the code up and running in a satisfactory manner on the alt port, I am working on building and properly balancing all the components for use in ships.
So what does that mean for the player? It means that a wipe of ship stats is imminent. What we are planning to do is outfit all existing ships with a generic set of mid-grade components. Shops will be available to buy new components of varying quality and cost. Phase 2 will introduce a new skill set to be associated with the component based ship system, while phases 3 and 4 are slated to add mob controlled ships and eventually a shipping economy system.
Help File List --Akarui 02:20, 30 March 2006 (PST)
I've been compiling a list of help files available on the mud, it can be viewed here Game Information Discussion Page. I have placed it in the discussion area because it's incomplete. I need more input from other users, and feel free to remove any you know aren't active help files. I'll go through the list every so often and alphabetize it so you don't need to worry about going to the trouble. Just add your contributions to the bottom of the list.
=) --Akarui
- I guess it can all be thrown into a page called help files, give links to a file for each topic, and put them all under the help file category. But I don't know how nessecary this is--I mean, all this info should come under normal game info topics, right? --Shaikoten 07:39, 30 March 2006 (CST)
- They're done! (Well... sorta) My main goal was to get em up online so they could be edited easier, then taken from the wiki by the Imm's and update with a polished and edited copy to the mud without having to go one by one inside the mud prompt, retyping everything. It's also nice to have the site up along side my mud client so I can access the help files immediately if I like, instead of interrupting an RP session or just general gameplay scroll. I do hope to get some of the information crossbred to get the pieces all together so we can make a very consise help file system. Hopefully one that is error free, and contains as much information as a player needs to know without giving away too much at the same time. I'm gonna go through and edit each one again though, so they look properly formatted as a Wiki page. Hope they benefit you all! --Akarui 06:13, 15 April 2006 (CDT)
MUD down? --Strife 22:58 26 March 2006 (PST)
I was in California, and we stopped for the night so I was hoping for a little muddin. But dang it the muds down, ah well. Hope to see you guys on the mud some other time.
- Fixed. Happens every so often. I usually wake up 7:30AM EST and check for crashes then. --Shaikoten 08:20, 27 March 2006 (CST)
Best Bebop Site? --Shaikoten 14:59, 26 January 2006 (CST)
I was looking at all the changes being posted on the site today and noticed that we're starting to get together a very comprehensive source of Bebop information. Then I thought back to all the other sites I used to use for Bebop info when developing this mud and thought, "Wow, at this rate, and with all our heads put together, we could really make the site with the most Bebop info around!" So now, I think we have a new mission: to compile all of our resources, and those of other sites on the internet, to create the most thorough Bebop site around. When I say other sites, of course, I do NOT mean plaugarism, and I do not condone that kind of behavior. Please, if you quote someone else, remember to give them due credit.
Also, just a reminder, the wiki contest will be over at midnight tonight, EST. Get writing! :)
You spelled "plagiarism" wrong. :P The Mighty Condor 19:53, 10 April 2006 (CDT)
- At least I spelled it better than Funf does ;) --Shaikoten 11:26, 12 April 2006 (CDT)
Wiki Editing Resources --Shaikoten 18:05, 22 January 2006 (CST)
How To Edit a Page Hopefully this link can alleviate some confusion as to how to make wiki pages that some of the players have been experiencing. If there are any questions, try asking on the mud, someone may know what to do.
Wiki Contest --Shaikoten 15:06, 19 January 2006 (CST)
As of today (12/19/06) I am launching a wiki contest for the players of the mud! The object is to create the most and best written wiki articles for our OOC/IC sections, and the grand prize will be 10 QP, with various other prizes for all of the contributors. The contest will be judged objectively by Spike for content, accuracy, and volume. This first attempt at such a contest will last 1 week, end end on 12/26/06. Thanks to everyone participating, and may the best editor win!
