Cheap Trick

From Cowboy Bebop: Space Cowboy

One of the largest bounties in the manga is the realm of Cheap Trick: 60 million wulongs. The catch, is that only female bounty hunters can collect. Even more strange is that the person placing the bounty has placed it on himself, declaring his name "Nowhere Man" though it is later released by Big Shot to be David Jackson, the single most common name in Sol.

Ed helps Faye to run a search of 'her' Davids, namely the rich ones and turns up only 3208 of Faye's Davids. They finally trace the David they are looking for to a party he will be holding on Mars. Faye of course attends, and plans to snag the bounty for herself. Strangely, the party guess are all women. Faye does not have time to contemplate this though, as a voice comes over the speaker, and its none other than David Jackson! He also sends a live feed through to Big Shot, and Spike and Jet watch on in anticipation as David's contempt for female bounty hunters shows through when he dumps thousands of pounds of sludge onto his female guests who were all bounty hunters.

Later, Spike sings the tune of Nowhere Man, and Faye catches on. She goes to Pachinco Nowhereland, where she thinks she will find David. Of course, hundreds of other female bounty hunters are there and find the David from the Big Shot video just sitting on a bench. They all mob him as he pleads that he's not the real David Jackson. Faye isn't convinced and moves to confront a serving man who also served at the trick party. After a short chase and a knife fight, she learns the truth: David Jackson is poor as poor can be, and lost his money and heart to a female bounty hunter. Faye has pitty on him and gives him some consoling advice even she can't believe she is giving, and takes him out for a drink. Later, it is found out the 60 million was hacked from a payroll company, and no one gets the money. The payroll company does put a 60,000 wulong bounty on him, but thats not enough to make Faye bite, especially with her hangover...
